Step into Hank Hill’s backyard! Enjoy free BBQ, games, and photo ops at Hulu’s King of the Hill activation at SDCC 2025—no badge needed!

Grab your cowboy boots and get ready for Texas-sized fun as King of the Hill takes over San Diego Comic-Con with one of the hottest activations of the weekend.

Hulu is celebrating the iconic animated series with a massive, immersive experience located at the Bayfront Parking Lot (Fifth Ave Landing – Lot A1), just next to the Convention Center. 

The best part? No Comic-Con badge required to join the fun.

What to expect

Fans stepping into Hank Hill’s backyard can expect a full Arlen-style celebration:

Cowboys and cowgirls stopping by to visit the King of the Hill immersive can taste some Texas-style BBQ bites served up throughout the day. There will be picnic tables available for guests to refuel and relax while enjoying episodes of the previous and new season.

A great Arlen BBQ wouldn’t be complete without games.

The activation will include Alamo pong, giving guests the chance to win large-scale 2D cutouts of the show’s most iconic characters.

Rhinestein’s Cowboy Boot Toss, located at Rhinestein’s Cowboy storefront, will allow visitors to compete for activation-exclusive prizes.

BBQ attendees will also have the chance to take home memories with the exclusive King of the Hill photo ops and bring home their own customized trucker hat.

Of course, cold Alamo (water) will be served to beat the heat.

And to repeat—you don’t need a pass. But the lines do get really crazy, so be sure to line up early to get a good spot.

The Hulu King of the Hill activation is located next to the Convention Center on the Bayfront Parking Lot (Fifth Ave Landing – Lot A1 – 600 Convention Way, San Diego, CA 92101). Hank Hill’s backyard will allow fans to experience what life is like in Arlen, Texas.
