Cruchyroll's Anime FanFest will return to San Diego Comic Con (and it's free)

Anime fans prepare to jam for free!

Crunchyroll will be returning to San Diego Comic Con with their Anime Fanfest– a free anime music festival in 2025.

We are officially one month away from San Diego Comic Con taking over all of San Diego. One of the fun parts of SDCC are the events you can attend badge free. Crunchyroll’s Anime Fanfest is one of those events.

That is correct. If you are interested in attending the free anime concert presented by Crunchyroll, you do not need an SDCC badge.

Anime Fanfest will run Friday and Saturday July 25 and 26. Doors open each day at 1:00pm at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

This year’s lineup is stacked. With J-Rock Band SPYAIR and J-Pop Performer yama to Headline Friday and Star Rapper Denzel Curry and Alternative Soul Sensation INIKO Headlining on Saturday.

Friday’s set list will blend Japan’s music scene with global anime inspired sounds. While Saturday’s set list will focus on anime’s impact on hip-hop, and R&B. Fans will explore the intersection between anime-fandom and music.

There will also be DJ sets and performances by other artists during both nights.

Fans attending will also have the opportunity to take home some sweet swag from anime merch pop-ups and giveaways.

But in true SDCC fashion the music festival will also have immersive experiences and activations from Gachiakuta, Kiju No. 8, Shining of the Shield Hero, and many more.
