Shudder and AMC Deliver Terrifying Fun at San Diego Comic-Con with Clown in a Cornfield

By: Brandon Randazzo

In celebration of the upcoming film Clown in a Cornfield, Shudder and AMC horrified us in the best way at San Diego Comic-Con with their immersive activation.

We stepped straight into the nightmare world of Frendo the Clown, winding our way through his twisted cornfield. The experience was pure adrenaline—a scream-filled gauntlet complete with chainsaws, jump scares, and one seriously creepy barn that made us question whether we’d make it out alive.

Massive kudos to the actors who brought the terror to life. Their commitment turned every step into a cinematic fright.

Survive the chaos, and you’re rewarded: carnival games, frozen drinks, popcorn, candy, a commemorative poster, and more gave us a moment to breathe—and celebrate.

The film itself follows Quinn and her father as they move to the seemingly quiet town of Kettle Springs for a fresh start. But peace is short-lived. After the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burns down, the town falls into conflict, and a grinning menace emerges from the fields to restore order through bloodshed.

When Frendo the Clown comes out to play, no one is safe.

Clown in a Cornfield premieres August 8, 2025, on Shudder and AMC+. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
