Everything We Know About Luna Snow Marvel's KPop Superhero!
Step aside, Dazzler; Luna Snow is ready to step into the spotlight on her newest world tour. On Thursday, Marvel announced a new one-shot comic starring K-Pop superhero Luna Snow, coming out in January 2026.
“Luna Snow’s been a blast to write ever since she debuted in comics in the War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas book. But this new story is something special—we get to focus on her as the hero and dig deep into what it means to be a pop star and a superhero at a time when fascists and exploiters have very specific uses for pop stars and superheroes,” Pak explained. “We’ve got a fantastic new K-pop villain named Vibe, who you’ll love to hate, a couple big surprise classic Marvel guest stars, and absolutely top-tier art from Ario Anindito and Tak Miyazawa. The art pops, the book rocks, and you do not wanna miss it!”
But who is this new superstar, and will she do a collab with Marvel’s other superstar singer, Dazzler?
Luna’s Beginnings
Luna Snow first appeared in the video game Marvel Future Fight in January 2018. She made her comic book debut in War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas Book in 2019.
Luna Snow’s real name is Seol Hee. Hee was raised by her grandmother. When she was young she wanted to help support her family and so she auditioned to become a K-Pop trainee. During her time as a trainee she founded the group 4LIT with fellow trainees Min Jee, Jon Soo, and Haw Won.
Luna’s Powers
Luna Snow was not born with superpowers. During 4LIT’s opening show at Stark Arena, Joro Spider unleashed an A.I.M cell attack. The group members were taken hostage and trapped inside a Stark Industries cold fusion reactor. The reactor malfunctioned and granted Hee cryokinetic powers.
Hee used her powers to defeat Joro Spider and her A.I.M. agents. From that moment on, Hee became the superhero we know as Luna Snow.
Luna’s powers are special because they can both destroy and heal. Her destructive cryokinesis is a dark ice that can freeze matter and corrode and destabilize it on a molecular level. This ability to shift, destabilize, and corrode molecules can cause structures to shatter or matter to wither and decay.
She can also summon blizzards or razor-sharp blackened ice and generate void-like frost fields that sap heat, light, and vitality. Her ice can also absorb energy from attacks, which counters fire or heat-based powers.
In addition to her cryokinetic powers, Luna is also an amazing dancer, which I believe is a superpower in and of itself.
Luna also has healing cryokinesis. She can manipulate cold energy infused with restorative light.
She can generate light from crystalline ice structures, heal wounds like burns, stop bleeding, and knit flesh together.
Elsa has nothing on Luna.
Superhero teams
Luna is part of Agents of Atlas, a secret society that used to pursue world domination but now uses its covert power for good.
Luna has also teamed up with other heroes like Aero, Wave, and White Fox.
She is a super fun character to play on Marvel Rivals, Marvel Future Fight, Marvel Snap, and Marvel Super War.
Luna also makes real music!
That’s right, Luna has released five songs including: “Tonight”, “I really wanna”, “Flow”, and a remix of Fly Away”. You can find all five songs on YouTube.
Overall Luna has been a highly underutilized character in comics. Given her power, and backstory, she has all of the features to become a new fan favorite and heavyweight.
Luna Snow: World Tour #1 will hit local comic book shops on January 14. The comic will be written by Greg Pak, with art by Ario Anindito & Takeshi Miyazawa. Cover art by Ario Anindito.
Be sure to check with your local comic book shop for availability.
Let the world tour begin.
